Project Return is a Milwaukee nonprofit supporting justice-impacted individuals as they re-enter society with one-on-on support in any way they need. I have worked with them in the past to facilitate a support group for returning Muslims.

The Midwest provision of the Society of Jesus wrote an article about blended courses (justice-impacted and traditional students) at Marquette that I am featured in.

"We are Brothers" Event

In October 2024, I attended an event in Chicago called "We are Brothers." The event was hosted by the rapper formerly known as Lil Durk, who has changed his name to Mustafa Abdul Malak. There were great speakers and discussions on a variety of topics.

MATC

I attended classes at MATC once getting out and earned many credits. I was also featured in their 2019 Annual Report, as well as MATC Now!, the college's news station, in 2021 about what it's like to be the only Muslim at family gatherings.

The Milwaukee Turners, a component of Turner House Ballroom, is a collective of advocates focusing on liberty and justice for the oppressed. In March 2018, I participated in a panel discussion on mass incarceration.
